San Diegans move a lot. The average household moves every seven years. My estimate is that residents of San Diego move every four years. That is a lot of furniture to consider.
Whenever a move is looming the furniture is suddenly on Survival. Some furniture is not going to leave the island. Those pieces either voyage to Good Will or are sold. Craig's List is one option to sell furniture throughout San Diego County. An easier solution is consignment shops. There are several in Del Mar, Point Loma, Mission Hills and San Diego. These shops accept various types of furniture, art work and nick-nacks. When you are ready to move and have decided what is saving and what is being voted off of the island, consider consignment. It is nice to pick up a check and let the professionals do the selling.
