San Diego has many draws: the Pacific, the weather and the location. Many Buyers and Renters foam at the month with the thought of a water view. Watching the boats and the activity is a relaxing past time.
At night unless the water view is facing buildings it becomes completely black. The ocean views from the Hotel Del Coronado become a black void at night. The lights of downtown San Diego may be viewed from the Landing section of Coronado. In my opinion that city view is preferable. The lights don't turn off at bed time.
City views don't turn off at all at night. They actually improve. A glowing sky line is a pleasure. Furthermore the view changes subtly. Different windows are lit at various times. The patterns are fun. The holiday season wraps the buildings in bows and ties them up for nights on the town.
I love water and I love looking at it. But I prefer to look at Coronado and other areas of San Diego at night too with good lighting.
